In Memory of Stephen Cox

This community is dedicated to our friend and former moderator Stephen Cox. When Stephen came to Ben’s Friends, he was a cancer survivor and had battled a chronic disease for decades. Nevertheless, Stephen was full of life and energy, and tirelessly devoted his time to helping our members during his last years. Stephen founded the Caregiver Support Community on Facebook, a community that is now over 1,000 members strong. On PSC community, the Caregiver community, and all of the other communities that Stephen moderated, he made full use of two of his special gifts: empathy and humor. We hope you find friends within this community who will care about you and make you laugh, just as Stephen used to do.

Your website then was my biggest support.

Pat

We met back in 2006, in Austin at St.Davids. I and my daughter, Britanny, who was then 16 years old were new to the site. Your website then was my biggest support and we came to know that so many others are struggling through very similar issues. Today Brittany is 21 and married almost a year ago. Britanny now lives here in Austin and had gone for a year in San Diego. After her gamma knife operation, we had to wait the two long years. I am so proud of YOU!!! You are such a wonderful example of turning the hurts and pains of this life into positive! May you be ever so BLESSED!!!

--- Pat
